Father in Heaven,

Please enable all men to put off the old nature in their lives, and be renewed in the spirit of their minds, so that they may put on a transformed nature of holiness.

Grant all men to perceive the image of strength and love that You have bestowed on them, Father. And grant them the will to use these gifts for the benefit of their wives and families and for the greater good of the whole Body of Christ.

We ask this in His Name,

Amen

Father in Heaven

By the power that you have granted me I take authority over the enemy’s attacks on myself and my wife and our marriage. I will stand against his attempts to drive a wedge between us, separating us by his lies and by his using our mistakes of the past: for in separating us he will isolate us from each other and thereby weaken or destroy our marriage. I will not allow misunderstanding, miscommunication, angry words or stubborn silence prevail between me and my wife, creating a rift in our relationship. This is the plan of the enemy - to undo the sacred union which You Lord have put together. I ask this in the sure and certain knowledge that this is Your will for us.

I pray this prayer in the blessed name of Jesus Christ,

Amen

Our four year old granddaughter, Sofia, was coming home from pre-school with her mother, Caroline. She suddenly stopped what she was doing, turned to her Mum and said:

“Mummy, who made me?”

Caroline, while trying to focus on her driving, said: “God made you.”

“Who is God?” came the instant question.

“God is Your heavenly Father,” Caroline replied.

“Where is heaven, Mummy?”

“It’s up in the sky, only much larger, and way beyond the sky” said Caroline.

“Can I see God?” asked Sofia.

“No, you can’t actually see Him but you can imagine Him – in your head.”

After a pause Sofia went on: “Can I talk to God, Mummy?”

“Yes, you can talk to God – in your head.”

“Will God answer me, Mummy?”

“Yes, God will answer you – in your head.”

Sofia fell silent for a few moments.

“Mummy?”

“Yes, Sofia?”

“God said He loves me.”

When we related this story to one of our friends she commented that Sofia had got the whole Gospel in one go.

Praise Him, that He speaks to little children.

They need no encouragement to speak to Him.

And Jesus spoke of revealing the mysteries of the kingdom to little children.
